Portugal transposed EU Directive 2019/1937 through Lei n.º 93/2021, de 20 de dezembro (General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers). The penalty regime became enforceable on June 7, 2024. MENAC’s electronic platform received 152 reports in 2024.
